Blavatsky's Tower was "crowd-funded" by a very successful online Kickstarter campaign. The campaign ran for 25 days in April 2013 and thanks to a huge groundswell of support a total of 78 backers raised £4,121 to pay for theatre hire, the rights to the script, props and set materials.

Against a backdrop of government funding cuts to the arts in general, Kickstarter has the potential to revolutionise British theatre by allowing audiences to support productions directly and to have a hand in bringing those that excite them the most to the stage.
